I know you saw that title and thought for a quick second that you should just skip this one. We’ll we’re starting strong over here with the first episode of The Beautiful Climb podcast pulling back the curtain ALL THE WAY to talk about the one area I’ve struggled most…vulnerability.
It’s not easy to admit that I didn’t truly learn and embrace vulnerability until I was 28 years old and I learned really quickly that it was not easy.
In today’s episode, I’m getting vulnerable (oh the irony) and sharing the moment during my son’s birth when my entire world and way of thinking changed.
I know that vulnerability can be a touchy subject, but as my girl, Brene Brown says, “Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome.”
And as someone who used to try and control every single situation, let’s be honest I’m still working on it, this quote hits me deep.
If it resonated with you/ smacked you in the face a little then today’s episode is for you!
Today, I’m chatting…
- About the moment in my labor when I realized I couldn’t hold on any longer (it was after 70 hours)!
- What I’ve come to learn vulnerability truly is and how much life has improved since embracing it.
- Why the lack of vulnerability is keeping us from truly connecting with others.
